◆ Natural berberine hcl, an important alkaloid, which can be extracted from plants like berberine, cork, and three needles. It has a remarkable bacteriostatic effect. With richful berberine hcl, the commonly used berberine hydrochloride is also called berberine hcl extract. 

 Berberine is used to treat pathogenic microorganisms and inhibit various bacteria such as dysentery bacilli, tuberculosis, pneumococcal bacteria, typhoid bacillus and diphtheria bacilli.  Berberine hcl is used for damp-heat syndrome of the large intestine manifested as diarrhea, dysenteryand tenesmus.

 Phellodendron extract sourced berberine also can be used for acute febrile diseases with exces-sive pathogenic fire and heat manifested ashigh fever, dysphoria, unconsciousness anddelirium.

 Powdered Berberine hcl is used for suppurative infections on the body surface, such as sores, carbuncles, furuncles and boils, septicemia induced by furuncu-losis, swellings and pain in the ears and eyes, canker sores in the mouth, exudative skin infections and pruritus.
